When you think about the word “peace," what imagery comes to mind? This exhibition will focus on preserving the actions, quotes, people, events or other depictions of peace to promote a sense of calm and safety in our world today.
The Call for ART is OPEN until July 22nd.
Art appropriate for this display can represent a range of perspectives from personal, spiritual serenity to global harmony. Our goal is to allow people to learn, reflect and find ways to make the world more peaceful.
Examples for this exhibition may include but are not limited to representations of portraiture, speech, or actions of peace legends such as Martin Luther King, Jr., Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Jesus Christ, John Lennon, a Nobel Peace Prize recipient or anyone in your life experience who has rendered a sense of unity and harmony.
Here are a few quotes and concepts for further consideration and inspiration:
"When the power of love is greater than the love of power the world will know peace."
"Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding."
"When things change inside you, things change around you."
"Imagine all the people living life in peace. You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday you will join us, and the world will live as one."
"If now we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten how to see God in one another."
"I prefer to make mistakes in kindness than work miracles in unkindness."
