Roth will lead the association in a 5-year growth plan, program expansion, and potential relocation.
York Art Association is pleased to announce Roth Preap as the organization’s first Executive Director. He brings a breadth of experience in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, and programming to the position. Preap (pronounced “Prep”) served as a grants program officer of the York County Community Foundation, where he developed a community grant reading program, trained a team of 70 volunteers, and assisted nonprofits in applying for funds. As Director of Operations for the York Youth Symphony Orchestra, he significantly increased funding and concert attendance, developed exciting new programming, and helped establish a new endowment for the Youth Symphony. York Art Association’s Board of Directors looks forward to having Roth at the helm as we launch our recently developed 5-year strategic growth plan.
As an essentially all-volunteer organization since its inception in 1905, York Art Association continued to expand. It became clear that funding for an executive was needed to ensure a successful future. With the support of the Cultural Alliance and the The Powder Mill Foundation, that dream has now been realized. The association’s growth plan includes adding class offerings, launching new events, further community outreach, and expanding classroom and gallery space. As the expansion of I-83 may impact our current building, we see that as an opportunity to fulfill those goals. Preap will also work with the Board as we navigate a possible relocation to a larger facility.
Starting in January, Roth Preap will move into his new role as York Art Association’s Executive Director. For more information or an interview, contact Board Member Suzanne Stoltenberg at: marketing@yorkartassociation.org or call 717-779-4721.
