The Call for ART has closed, judges selections have been announced.

The 53rd Annual Open Juried Exhibition CALL FOR ART yielded 347 pieces entered by 129 artists from our region! Our juror, Jessica Ambler of Muhlenberg College, (see below for our judge's full biography) has made 111 selections to be in the exhibition opening on November 3rd.

All entries have been notified via email, but status of individual submissions may also be viewed by signing into your personal ARTCALL.org account.


The next steps for all accepted artist is to prepare for intake to be held on Thursday Oct 24, Friday Oct 25, and Saturday Oct 26 from 10am-2pm each intake day.

Accepted art must be framed or have finished edges and is prepared with braided wire for hanging. Don't forget to print out two copies of your "Submission Back Labels" from your artcall account and bring them with your work(s) to intake.

Our Juror

Jessica Ambler, is the Director of the Martin Art Gallery at Muhlenberg College. She has her Ph.D. in Art History from UC Santa Barbara and over a decade of experience in the art world including work in a museum, auction house, and numerous universities. She was Head of Research for the The Heller Group, an art advisory in New York City specializing in modern and contemporary art, and Curator + Artist Relations for Loupe, Inc., an art streaming platform. She is a qualified appraiser and an Accredited Member of the Appraisers Association of America. She is also a mayoral appointed member and officer of the Allentown Arts Commission, on the Advisory Council for the Lehigh Valley Arts and Cultural Alliance, an Executive Committee Member of the Museum and Library Alliance of the Lehigh Valley, and a Communications Committee Member for the Association of Academic Museums and Galleries.


Awards

There will be six awards given, five Awards of Excellence ($600 each) and one Best of Show ($1750) with total awards amounting to $4,750.
