Spring into your summer in a spectacular way by joining us for the opening reception of our most prestigious event, the Rottler Award Selection Exhibition. Showcasing the works of YAA members, this free event is open to the general public and will be held Sunday June 11 from 2pm to 4pm. Light hors d’oeuvres, wine and beverages will be served. Awards will be announced around 2:30pm.
About the Rottler
The Rottler Awards for Excellence in the Visual Arts came about as a result of a bequest from the estate of the late E. Kurt Rottler, a former President and Treasurer of the YAA. Mr. Rottler directed that his bequest (approximately $200,000) be conservatively invested and that a percentage of the annual income be used solely for the purpose of presenting “awards for excellence in the visual arts." In honor of his philanthropy, the Rottler Award Selection Exhibition is held every other year (odd years) in his name. With 2023 being a selection year, five members are chosen for this prestigious award. Three awards are given in the professional category, and two in the non-professional category. The five winners participate in the Rotter Winners Exhibition the following year.
