Our Winter Session is Right Around the Corner!

Please join us as we look forward to an exciting, creative, New Year with our Winter Session 2021. The York Art Association is open and ready for business! We are offering many new classes and workshops, both in the studio and online. Our knowledgeable instructors are ready to teach, our artists are eager to learn and get together and paint again. It has been a long time to be away from each other and nothing will make us happier than to move ahead as safely and responsibly as possible. We will follow all safety guidelines for COVID in the studio and have directional signs, hand sanitizer, and health screening forms to sign. Masks will be required at all times while in the building. Because of social distancing guidelines, we are limiting our class size to 8 students, so please register early.

You can also connect with fellow students by taking online classes. Our instructors will give demos and work with students on a one on one basis, critiquing paintings as you work. A few of our classes will be offered both in the studio and online simultaneously.

Please note that we have marked online classes with an "-O" in the class designation. When registering for a class that is being offered in person and online, make sure that you are registering for the option that is right for you!

We hope that you will try some of our new classes and workshops. This session, watercolor artists have two great options with Intermediate Watercolor with Deb Watson and Simple Flower Beds in Watercolor workshop with Kathy Becker. Become creative and learn more about acrylics and how dynamic they can be with acrylic expert, Brett Greiman. Brett is offering an online class series: Dynamic Acrylic Online Painting. Take one session or sign up for all five. We also will have plenty for the oil painter, with a special new class with our new experienced instructor, Elicia Frazier, titled Become A Visionary In Oil & Acrylic, one not to miss! Elicia will also give expert advice with an online class titled Artwork in Progress. If you love pastels, we are offering a two-day Pastel Workshop with Marion Stephenson, one of the best! Do you struggle with composition? Then we have the workshop for you, Painting by Design with Barb Buchanan. Barb produces the most amazing paintings with a great sense of design and composition. Barb will share the secrets of good design. We round everything out by offering Experimental Mixed Media classes with Sue Marrazzo and Julie Yontz, where you can learn and have fun! Finally, we will also have two different age group classes for Homeschoolers.

Here's to a new year of possibilities and creative endeavors! We hope you can join us at YAA!
