Fall Classes Are Open & Save $10 When You Register by August 8

As the leaves begin to turn, it’s the perfect time to dive into something creative. York Art Association is thrilled to announce that registration is now open for our Fall 2025 classes, and we’re offering a special $10 early registration discount through August 8.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned artist, we have something just for you. This season features over a dozen courses across multiple mediums - including watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, drawing, mixed media, and anime; all taught by some of the region’s most experienced and engaging teaching artists.

New and Returning Favorites

Among the standout offerings this fall is Intro to Japanese Anime with Brad Gebhart, an energetic and engaging course designed for ages 12–17. Students will learn to draw expressive faces, characters, mecha, and fantasy creatures, while exploring the genre's rich visual history. No experience is required, just bring curiosity and creativity.

We’re also welcoming back Deb Watson for both Watercolor I and Watercolor II. Beginners will feel at ease with her structured step-by-step lessons, while intermediate and advanced students can develop glowing realism in their paintings with more personalized guidance.

Expressive Oil and Acrylic Painting with Anita Williams returns for artists of all levels looking to push their technique and explore personal style.

Drawing for Beginners provides foundational skills in proportion, value, and perspective. Great for students 12 and up, parents, grandparents, and anyone ready to learn.

Dedicated Classes for Youth and Homeschoolers

We offer multiple options for children and teens, including classes on drawing, painting, and art journaling.

Drawing and Painting for Homeschoolers and Drawing and Painting for Kids & Teens encourage young artists to explore famous styles and techniques while building confidence and creativity.

Our teaching artists provide step-by-step guidance and a supportive atmosphere for every age group, whether they’re picking up a brush for the first time or looking to expand their portfolio.

Explore, Experiment, and Create

If you’re looking for a flexible and inspiring environment to work independently, our Open Studio classes are the perfect fit. With options in mixed media, collage, and acrylics, these sessions provide time and space to focus on your work with expert input and group critique.
