COLOR: An Emotive, Visual Language with Brett Greiman
The Pennsylvania Council on the Arts' Arts in Education Program, in partnership with the Cultural Alliance of York County is offering a FREE Zoom class exclusively to York Art Association members!
This is a presentation by YAA member/instructor and PA Arts in Education teaching artist, Brett Greiman.
In this approximately 90 minutes hands-on session, we will explore how to use color to express emotion in your art as well as evoke an emotional response from the viewer. How have artists used color to draw in the viewer and make an emotional connection? The colors may not be what’s expected but rather, are an unexpected emotional interpretation. And that’s what makes them fascinating! We’ll first explore some basic knowledge of color contrasts and color harmonies then take a look at an historical perspective of color usage along with discussion and some hands on color explorations.
The colors may not be what’s expected but rather, are an unexpected emotional interpretation. And that’s what makes them fascinating!
