As we navigate these uncertain times, we are forced to think outside of the box, to become even more creative with our class offerings. We have also heard from so many of our students, about how much they miss the in-person art classes. We hear you and we miss you too! We know how important it is to keep in touch with fellow artists and friends, especially during these times. However with COVID 19 still lurking in our midst, we have to endeavor to keep our students, volunteers, workers, and instructors safe. Therefore we will be offering a variety of on-line classes through our Fall Session, rather than conducting in-person classes through November. No in-person classes at YAA until at least November. If you haven't tried online lately, we've worked out all the kinks with zoom and classes are running smoothly.
We are also looking into the possibility of an outdoor venue for classes and will update when opportunities become available.
Support YAA and its instructors by registering for one or more online classes! The Fall Semester will feature never before offered classes for all levels of artist.
Share in the artist camaraderie, “venture out” of your COVID Cave and join us as we embark on a new art class experience, online!
CLASSES & WORKSHOPS for August and September affected by the closure are:
Experimental Mixed Media with Sue Marrazzo (7/25)
Luminous Watercolor with Lynne Yancha (8/3-8/5)
Gelli Plate Workshop with Susan Darling (8/25)
Color Theory with Phyllis D. Fredericks (9/2-9/4)
If you have signed up for a workshop or an in-person class that has been cancelled, please fill out this form so that we may issue you a credit voucher or refund.
A virtual show is in the works for the fall. Call for Artists will be posted mid-August. More details to come...
