Announcing the Annual FALL Members' Exhibition

Opening Reception September 17th, from 2pm-4pm with awards announced at 2:30pm.

Bring in the fall season by visiting York Art Association to view the members exhibition on display from September 17 through October 22. The public is invited to a free opening reception on Sunday, September 17 from 2 PM to 4 PM. Nine prizes will be awarded at approximately 2:30 PM and light refreshments and beverages will be served. The Sally little Danyo gallery is featuring the work of one of our mixed media instructors, Sue Marrazzo. Our members appreciate their art being viewed by family, friends, and the general public, so come and support your community of artists.

There are 2 categories of artists for entry, professional and non-professional which are defined below.

What defines an artist as PROFESSIONAL?

1. Artists who regularly sell and exhibit their work outside of YAA.

2. Artists who have won any award in three YAA exhibitions (honorable mention does not count)

3. Artists who provide classroom instruction or hold a degree in the fine arts.

(New members who do not meet any of the above criteria for the professional designation may choose the category in which they would like to exhibit. )

AWARDS: First Place: $200 Second Place: $150 Third Place: $100 Pastel Award: $100 Watercolor Award: $100 Overall Best of Show: $300 Total awards offered $1400!

OUR JUROR: Carol Buck is a curator for the State Museum of Pennsylvania and assists with the State of the Art Exhibit. She holds a masters degree from Pennsylvania State University in American studies and a BA from Lebanon Valley College in art and art history.









Showing concurrently in the Sally Little Danyo Members Sales Gallery will be SUE MARRAZZO. Sue is an award-winning experimental artist who works in collage, mixed media, acrylic, sculpture, and encaustic painting. Sue's art tends to be influenced by

fashion, interior design, and art history. She believes, "Art is about learning to see."
