When we launched the Art Transforming Campaign, we shared a vision of creating a space that would inspire artists, students, and our community for generations to come.
Today, that vision is becoming reality.
Over the past several months, people driving by have likely noticed something exciting - that the change is happening quickly.
Building the Future, One Step at a Time
Since construction began, tremendous progress has been made throughout the building.
What once existed only on plans and drawings is now becoming real as wall studs have been erected throughout the space, giving shape to future classrooms, galleries, and gathering spaces.
Major infrastructure work continues to move forward with:
• Electrical wiring installed throughout the top floor of the facility
• Plumbing work nearing completion
• Paint removal progressing outside the building
• Vapor barriers and a new sump pump system installed in the basement
• Complete asbestos and mold remediation completed
While some of this work may not always be visible, these improvements are creating a safer and more sustainable home for the arts.
Changes Outside the Building
One of the most visible changes has been the removal of three trees from the property.
This decision was not made lightly.
For nearly three years, we consulted with arborists, landscape professionals, and specialists while exploring multiple options to preserve them. Unfortunately, the trees had already experienced significant decline due to rot, structural concerns, and damage that made preservation no longer possible.
While difficult, this decision allows us to move forward with an exciting new chapter as we plan for a new sculpture garden with predominately native plants.
The Final Push
With every wall being installed, every new wire ran, and every improvement made brings us closer to opening the doors to something transformational.
But we are not there yet.
As construction continues, we still need one final push to help carry this project across the finish line.
Your support has already helped make extraordinary progress possible.
Now, we invite you to help complete what we started. Together, we are building the future of arts education, creativity, and community.
