York Art Association to participate in Wellspan’s Cancer Treatment Center Gallery.
The York Art Association is proud to announce its participation in Wellspan Health Center’s project to display original works of art in the patient care areas of their new cancer treatment center located at the Apple Hill Medical Center, 25 Monument Rd. , Suite 194, York, PA 17403.
Wellspan recognizes the healing and calming benefits of an environment consisting of original works of art for patients and families who are coping with serious illness. We are pleased to serve them in this capacity.
Kay Koehler, a longstanding member of YAA, will curate artists’ work each quarter to be featured on the second floor of the cancer treatment center. On display as of their opening to the public June 1, 2021, the paintings of YAA members, Neil Scollan and Anita Williams will be featured. Neil is one of the winners of the prestigious Rottler Award in 2019 and Anita is the chair of our education committee and recipient of numerous awards as well. Most of the work is available for purchase directly from the artist.
