York, PA – The York Art Association (YAA) is thrilled to share two major announcements!
Mary Hughes Promoted to Education Program Manager
Mary Hughes has been promoted to the role of Education Program Manager. This exciting milestone coincides with her celebration of five years of outstanding service to YAA.
During her tenure, Hughes has been instrumental in advancing YAA’s education initiatives and streamlining operations. Notably, she spearheaded the successful transition to digital systems in 2020, implementing Wild Apricot and launching an improved website for online registrations and membership management.
Hughes will focus on expanding YAA’s educational programs for children and families, ensuring we remain a leading resource for fine art education in the region.
"Mary’s contributions have been transformative for our organization," said Roth J. Preap, Executive Director. "We look forward to her continued leadership and vision in elevating our educational offerings."
Welcome JJ Sheffer as YAA’s New Office Administrator
We are equally pleased to announce that JJ Sheffer will join the YAA team as our new Office Administrator.
Sheffer brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit management, event planning, and community engagement. She has led numerous initiatives as president of New Muse Entertainment and previously managed CoWork155, York’s first coworking space. Her expertise will enhance YAA’s administrative functions, membership services, and gallery operations.
"JJ’s experience and collaborative spirit are perfectly aligned with YAA’s mission," said Roth J. Preap. "We are confident she will greatly enhance our organization’s impact."
