ree

Creative York and the York Art Association are thrilled to announce a new partnership to present York Arts Week, which will now take place in June, aligning with one of the most culturally vibrant times of the year in the county.

With support from the Powder Mill Foundation, this exciting collaboration brings together two of York’s most beloved arts organizations to spotlight the county’s rich arts landscape while providing a broader, more connected platform for creativity and community engagement. The move to June allows York Arts Week to serve as a unifying thread throughout a month already filled with music, theater, dance, festivals, and visual art experiences.

“York Arts Week will now live where it belongs—at the heart of York’s creative season,” said Roth Preap, Executive Director of the York Art Association. “By partnering with Creative York and tapping into the incredible cultural energy of June, we’re able to amplify the diverse array of events happening throughout the county.”

June in York features a rich lineup of programming such as Make Music Day, Pride Pop Off, Once on This Island at DreamWrights, the 23rd Annual Penn-Mar Irish Festival, and Get Crafted Fine Art, Fine Crafts and Spirits Festival, among many others. York Arts Week will help to promote these events while connecting residents and visitors of all ages to the broader arts ecosystem.

“Creative York is proud to collaborate on York Arts Week,” said Lyn Bergdoll, Executive Director of Creative York. “Together, we’re building a more unified and inclusive arts scene for our community—while empowering local organizations to shine and do what they do best.”

As a countywide celebration, York Arts Week is dedicated to highlighting the cultural richness of York's creative community. The shift to June provides an even greater opportunity to elevate artists, support organizations, and offer the public a vibrant, cohesive experience of the arts in York.
