Call for Art: 2025 Rottler Selection Exhibition

YAA Members are invited to register through May 27 at 2 pm 

The Rottler Awards were established in 1998 to recognize and celebrate excellence in the visual arts. Our 2025 Selection Exhibition runs June 8-July 20.

The Call

To be considered, artists must be a member of YAA and submit two qualifying pieces of art completed within the last three years. There is no theme.

Five award winners are given the opportunity to contribute about 10 larger or up to 20 small pieces to a group exhibition at YAA the following year. The 2025 exhibit will be the last Rottler Awards Selection in our current building and the award winners will be among our first to exhibit their works in our new gallery on Linden Avenue in 2026.

Awards

Five awards of $500 each are given to three artists in the professional category and two in the non-professional category.

Meet Our Judge: Hans Guerin

Hans Guerin is an award-winning fine artist and experienced instructor known for his masterful work across genres including still life, figurative art, landscapes, and animals. Trained at the Schuler School of Fine Arts, he brings deep expertise in traditional techniques, including crafting his own materials from raw pigments and substrates.

Hans’s work has been featured in prominent exhibitions and major art publications, earning him national and international recognition. As both an accomplished artist and seasoned educator, he brings a sharp eye and thoughtful perspective to his role as a juror.
