Welcome...
....to the Main Web Site of the
York Art Association !!!

A Little Bit About Us..
The York Art Association, located in York Pa, began in 1905 when three visual artists and several businessmen came together to exchange views and interests. One hundred years later, the York Art Association has evolved into a vital organization with over 375 members with varied artistic interests and skill levels. A large part of our mission is to provide opportunities in the south-central Pennsylvania area to expand one's skills or simply explore one's creativity through classroom instruction, workshops, lectures, exhibits and the many publications and media products in our YAA library. In support of our goals, we offer year round day and evening classes for adults and/or children six days a week. A number of workshops and lectures are also scheduled throughout the year, along with 12 diverse juried and non-juried shows in our gallery. We make an effort to communicate with our members on a monthly basis via newsletter, and it is hoped this website will provide additional & enhanced communication with our membership regarding the York Art Association.

Approximately 25% of our classroom students are children, with another large percentage of enrollees qualifying as "Active Seniors" in pursuit of long-denied creative interests.
